Empty Bowls 2013

It's that time of year again... my favorite arts/charity event! Of course, having waited until the last possible second, I just got these out of the kiln the other night, and the event is tomorrow... March 1st, at Lillstreet Art Center, 5-8 PM. Here's a link to the event: http://lillstreet.com/emptybowls Sorry for the short notice, but I'd like to invite anyone reading this (if there is anyone reading this) to attend!

For $25, you get to pick out one of the many fabulous handmade bowls donated by local potters, then eat a meal of soup and bread out of it, take the bowl home with you, and all proceeds go to an organization that fights hunger. Get there early for the best selection of bowls! Here are the two I'm donating.

Welcome and an early happy St. Patrick's Day

Welcome to my new website and blog! I'm pretty excited to have it up and running. I've never had a blog before, but I figured it was time to give it a shot. I'll be posting whatever comes to mind: photography, ceramics, random thoughts...

I'll start it out by posting these shots I took at work today. For over three years, I've been working as an e-commerce photographer for a large online retailer that sells officially licensed sports clothing. Most of the time, I'm just doing production, but occasionally I am asked to do something more creative (I did all the styling too). These were taken for their St. Patrick's Day promotions; maybe that's stating the obvious.
